What kind of title is "Between the Plough and the Altar"?

Spurgeon's words ring in my ears now, "Lord, accept me; I here present myself, praying to live only in thee and to thee. Let me be as the bullock which stands between the plough and the altar, to work or to be sacrificed; and let my motto be, "Ready for either."

Robyn Bush: Writing for me has been a part of fleshing out my faith as I stepped into navigating life with loss and grief. On December 22, 2016, my precious husband, Tod, suffered a massive stroke which led to three days in the hospital. Tod passed away, and then we stepped into the organ donation process. Tod had signed up as an organ donor two years before, and his organs gave the gift of life on Christmas day. While our loss was incredibly painful, we were so grateful Tod's life brought new life to so many through the gifting of his organs. As a widow and single mom now, writing out the journey has been an important part of help and healing for me as I learn life without my guy beside me. But I am discovering the presence of Jesus is by far the most profound and precious grace no matter what happens in this life. His strength and hope are constant life-lines for my heart to cling too. I hope you will share a thought or be encouraged as you read and ponder with me some of the harder spaces of life and how faith in Christ actively weaves hope, grace, and joy in it all.
